Research Paper Citation
There are at least three types of research paper citations available to you. These three types are just some of the most popular but there are also others that you can utilize. Bear in mind that writing research papers involves the citation process that will reference your resource materials. Citation is an important aspect of writing a research paper so you better have an idea what choices you have.
One of the primary research paper citation styles is the APA format. The American Psychological Association form of referencing is usually used for topics that involve science, health, medicine or even technology. The process is simple. You can do in text citation by quoting the part of the reference article and then integrate it to your paper. Then write the author’s last name with the publishing year. When it comes to writing the bibliography page, you need the author’s name, publication year, title of his work, publishing company, publishing city and the page numbers.
Another citation style is the MLA or the Modern Language Association format. This is commonly used for topics that relate to humanities in general but may specifically target the arts and literature. Just like the APA format, you can quote the parts of any resource materials. But instead of the publishing year, you can put the page number of the reference article. For the works cited page, the same entries are used.
