Otherwise you could end up deciding on a final topic that is either too narrow or too broad to write about successfully. Another key to creating good research topics is ultimately choosing one that you can turn into a very focused, very pointed question that can be answered in the paper. Interesting research papers are dependent on interesting research paper topics. You cannot have one without the other. You might be a natural at coming up with good topics, but if not, you can still make yourself an expert at it.
